5 More Things You Should Never Do With Your Concealed Carry

In our last blog, we spoke about 5 of the most important things you should never do with your concealed carry. Today we’re looking at 5 more important rules you should observe, so put your handgun in your gun holster and make sure you follow each of these.

  1. The “one magazine and done” rule. If you have a concealed carry pistol – where’s your number two magazine? If it’s not on you or nearby, you’re putting yourself unnecessarily at risk. We even suggest looking into one of our speed loaders.
  2. Don’t insert yourself into conflicts. While there is nothing wrong with self defense or helping someone that is being brutally attacked. However, do not step in where you do not fully understand the legal quandary you could be placing yourself in.
  3. Always lock up your firearms. If you don’t have your firearm physically on your person, you need to lock it up – whether or not you have children.
  4. Don’t choose convenience over safety. here are a lot of fads out there in regards to “new” ways to holster a firearm. Everything from using a holster system that doesn’t protect the trigger guard to storing it at an angle where it may be easily taken from you – your concealed carry firearm is your life line. Do not take chances with it. Do not put it on your body in such a way that it may harm you or others.
  5. Don’t overestimate your abilities or underestimate your opponents. This is one of the most dangerous habits a concealed carrier can get into the routine of making. If you can read minds, great. For everyone who can’t – never assume anything about your opponent or the situation you find yourself in.
