Advantages Of Moon Clips Over Speed Loaders

Here at Speed Beez, we primarily focus on speed loaders, and we truly believe we’ve built the best one you can buy. But you’ll notice that while “speed” is in our company name, “loaders” isn’t. That’s because we’re also suppliers of some excellent moon clips and half moon clips, something that every shooter will eventually need.

So while we’d love to sell you a speed loader (and wrote on their advantages last week), we’re perfectly happy for you to pick up our moon clips in bulk and be ready for any situation.

Mixing of rimmed and rimless – Looking to compare the kick and accuracy of rimmed and rimless back to back? Moon clips allow you to chamber one right after the next. Have an eight-shot revolver? You can load up as many moon clips as you want with rimmed/rimless/rimmed/rimless all day long.

Speed – If you’re going for a fast reload, moon clips can actually be faster than a speedloader. That’s because the moon clip goes in and stays in, so you don’t have to do anything with the empty speedloader after you’ve reloaded. Cost: If you leave a moon clip at the range, who cares, right? You’re out less than a dollar. Leave your speed loader at the range and you’ll be kicking yourself all night long,and probably halfway into tomorrow as well.
