Before You Buy That Speedloader, Make Sure You’re Ready With Your Gun

2015-09-25 17.07.35Here at Speed Beez, we’re all about speedloaders. We’re all about building them, testing them, shooting with them, and, of course, selling them.

But we’re also about safety, and we don’t want you to be seeing how quickly you can reload your live ammo on the firing range unless you’re absolutely sure with your gear. We know that many of you have been shooting your entire lives, but there are more and more gun enthusiasts every day who have never touched a gun before. If you’re not very familiar with revolvers, make sure you deal with the following before you try to introduce a speedloader.

Buy the right gun: Sometimes we can do all the research in the world and still end up buying the wrong product. If you’ve purchased the wrong gun for you…maybe it has the wrong grip for your hand size, maybe it’s too heavy, maybe it’s too light…you can try to get used to it and end up hating it. Or you can trade it in, lose a bit of money, and get the gun that’s right for you. When you have the perfect revolver, find your perfect speedloader.

Take a safety course: If you’re new to guns, don’t think it’s manly to skip the safety course. Real men know the safest way to use their firearms, so sign up for a course offered by your local range or by the state. Better yet, sign up with your kids or wife so that everyone knows how to use the guns properly.

Slow down: When you’re on the range, you’re going to see people moving quickly. They’ll be swapping out clips, they’ll be dropping brass and using a speedloader or moon clip to reload their revolver. You might be envious of their speed, but until you’re completely comfortable with your firearm be sure to slow down. Trying to move too quickly is one of the most common reasons people end up accidently discharging their weapon.

Moving too quickly, whether it’s when you’re buying or using your gun, can lead to problems. Make sure you’re ready for your speedloader, then get the best one available right here.
