When You’re Buying A Speed Loader, Don’t Forget Your Loading Block

When you’re at the range and you want make the best use of a speed loader, you’ve got two choices…but a loading block, or buy a dozen speed loaders!

Chances are you’re going to pick the loading block. I mean, we’d be perfectly happy if you decided to buy a dozen speed loaders, but that could get heavy (and very expensive, but, you know, go ahead). Don’t waste your time at the range loading either the speed loader itself or the loading block…when you’re watching TV or sitting on the patio just spend some time filling up the loading block. Do it long enough and it’s actually therapeutic.

That way when you get to the range you’re ready to go. No more reloading cartridge one-at-a-time, no more fumbling with the ammo. Shoot your five-, six- or 10 shots, dump the spents, press the reloader onto your preloaded loading block, shoot, repeat. And repeat. Repeat quite a few more times, in fact. Having a dock keep you shooting so that you don’t lose your focus on actual shooting.

The loading blacks close tightly, so once you’ve got the cartridges into position, they’re going to stay there (you’re not going to open them up and find ammo everywhere.) You can even get a pelican case that stacks so that your wrist gives out before the ammo does.

Don’t shoot yourself in the foot by just buying a speed loader. Buy a loading block and don’t lose your focus. Buy a few today!
